Mid-America Christian University (MACU) is pleased to announce the appointment of Rev. Dr. Dawn Meadows as the new Dean of Academic Instruction, effective June 1, 2025.
Dr. Meadows brings a wealth of academic leadership, faculty development, and Christian higher education experience to this role, having served in various leadership positions at Christian institutions throughout her career. As Dean of Academic Instruction, she will oversee the strategic direction of MACU’s faculty, fostering a culture of collaboration. Her responsibilities will include the supervision, assessment, and evaluation of full-time faculty, along with leading faculty development and recruitment efforts.
“As the Dean of Faculty, Dr. Meadows will work closely with our dedicated professors and staff to ensure that we continue to uphold the highest standards of teaching and Christian mission,” said President Phil Greenwald. “Dawn’s leadership as an ordained Church of God pastor, her extensive experience in Christ-centered education at Warner University, and her expertise in change management have positioned her to help us stay unified in purpose while also providing tailored support that meets the diverse needs of our students across various educational modalities.”
Dr. Meadows has over two decades of experience in Christian higher education, most notably serving as Vice President and Dean of Students at her alma mater, Warner University, from 2012 to 2020. During her tenure, she developed educational programs, faculty training initiatives, and student success strategies that enhanced academic engagement and spiritual development. Prior to this role, she served as an Associate Professor at Warner University from 2005 to 2012, where she was instrumental in shaping curriculum and mentoring students in their academic and spiritual journeys. In addition to her administrative and faculty experience, Dr. Meadows has also served as an associate pastor in two Church of God congregations, and a leader in faith-based non-profit organizations.
Dr. Meadows holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Liberty University, along with Master’s degrees in Theological Studies from Asbury Theological Seminary and Human Services: Marriage and Family from Liberty. She is also an ordained minister in the Church of God (Anderson, IN).
MACU welcomes Rev. Dr. Meadows to this vital role and looks forward to the impact she will have on faculty leadership and academic excellence.
